Game: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Just going to cut this into today as well. About a week ago I began playing twilight princess for the first time. My reaction: Whoa! Awesome so far, but the high points, as always, was the use of music during cutscenes. For such a short theme, they were able to convey the perfect emotional response. The only thing I would change about this track is its title, as I felt the conveyance of Hope, rather than Courage, being emitted during these touching moments.
Title: When The Night Falls
Game: NiGHTS ~Journey of Dreams~
Composer: Tomoko Sasaki
I love that toy piano…good choice to depict child-like innocence/children.
Title: Fateful Decisive Battle
Game: Super Mario Galaxy 2
The Final Boss from the first game (“Decisive Battle on the Great King Star”) was amazing, and the same applies to this Final Boss theme as well. I rarely have time for games to hear the music in context to the situation the player is placed in*, but kudos to the composer for composing a track that works outside its gaming environment as well!
Title: BGM 23
Game: Sky Crawlers - Innocent Aces
I’ll make this notice again seeing this blog has doubled in followers (it’s 70, nothing ground breaking ;]): Some of the youtube videos that I post on this blog are randomly taken down by third party requests, user deleting their account, user deleting the video, etc..
I make this notice because I’m going to begin queuing up YouTube videos of VGM soon, so for those who are new to following the blog notice videos disappearing at random…well there ya go. ;)
Title: The Sweetest Time [Full Edition]
Album: Kiss & Ride
Game Appearance: Opening movie to Rune Factory Frontier
Note: It seems the original YouTube video I had posted this song from had their account either deleted or requested to remove the video by third party yadda-yadda-yadda. I bought the album where this track is in its full form (happiness!).
So for those who already heard it and/or played Rune Factory Frontier; Hear it in its entirety. Those who have never heard this and/or never played Rune Factory Frontier, enjoy the piece (which I grew on me after a while and eventually became one of my favorite songs from Takeshi).
