A review and in-depth analysis of Chrono Cross’ beloved “Time’s Scar” by Yasunori Mitsuda.

Title: Orphanage of Flame
Game: Chrono Cross
System: Playstation

Note: I’m surprised no one has decided to do an arrangement of this track for a mock opera. It’s definitely up there with my top 5 from this ost. I can’t believe my first playthrough I missed this whole quest completely, but that’s what happens when you do things out of order or proceed to far into the story. To think it only plays once throughout the whole game…

Title: Chrono Cross OST - Life ~ A Distant Promise
Game: Chrono Cross
System: Playstation

Note: Going over this track over and over again, I fiund it’s not as amazing a piece I originally thought. No, what makes it amazing is the build up to the climax at 0:56, onwards until 2:05. The rest of the track is nice, but from 0:00 - 2:05 is the real majesty that causes this track to crossover to the sublime.

Title: Radical Dreamers ~ Jewel Which Cannot Be Stolen
Game**: Chrono Cross
System: Playstation

Note: This track has a couple of translations which are usually related to an unstolen jewel, but this translation is my personal favorite. This and a couple of other tracks are going to find their way here in the near future. :3
